The RailCats are currently seeking applicants for the following positions:

Group Sales Manager

The Group Sales Manager is responsible for daily operations, including sales calls and making client appointments. Accountable for soliciting, managing, and maintaining group sales accounts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing all aspects of sales and marketing, including new business, in group sales

  • Assisting with training, managing, and leading sales team in attaining sales goals

  • Aiding in the creation and implementation of sales related collateral pieces

  • Continuing development of department and creation of new revenue streams

  • Event day responsibilities as required

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Aggressive, competitive and committed to the sports industry
  • Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent related experience
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls
  • Ability to work event nights/weekends as required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Previous sales experience is preferred
  • Computer skills helpful: Word, Excel, Ticketreturn Ticketing System

Head Groundskeeper

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining the baseball field and other landscaped areas of the property
• Performing that maintenance through established practices and procedures such as mowing, seeding, fertilizing, aerating, grooming, sodding, irrigation and proper infield management
• Maintaining all batting cages, field screens and enclosed pitching and hitting areas
• Ordering supplies and equipment within budget restrictions and guidelines
• Supervising and maintaining grounds crew work area and storage facility
• Safely operating and directing the operation of all grounds crew equipment and tools
• Effectively and professionally interacting and responding to the specific needs of coaching staff and umpires
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must possess a college degree in a field directly related to the responsibilities described herein
• Experience as a head groundskeeper in professional or college baseball is preferred
• Proven knowledge of basic baseball groundskeeper duties
• Ability to work long hours, especially during homestands and special events
• Solid leadership skills

Account Executive

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Placing cold calls from provided lists to area companies to sell season and partial-plan ticket packages, as well as group ticket packages
• Actively prospecting and researching new sales leads
• Maintaining database of all customers
• Providing superior customer service to clients – existing ticket holders, prospects, and single game customers
• Selling other special projects when necessary
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:


• Aggressive, competitive and committed to the sports industry
• Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 1 year of sales experience in sports
• Strong customer service skills a must
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented person to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Prior telemarketing and/or sales experience preferred, but not essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Computer skills helpful: Word, Excel, Ticketreturn Ticketing System

RailKittens

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Interact with fans during home games
• Assist with on-field promotions, including between inning contests and activities
• Collect fan e-mail addresses before games
• Conduct 50/50 raffle
• Distribute promotional materials after games
• Participate in non-game events including RailCats Convention and mascot appearances

Qualifications:


• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be energetic, enthusiastic and outgoing
• Must be able to work all 48 regular season games
• Dance/cheerleading experience preferred
